He set up with his financial advisers to give him an $800/month allowance. Apparently he felt this was enough. He's a young guy that doesn't watch TV, doesn't drink alcohol, probably eats some meals at the training camp each day, and drives a vehicle that doesn't use much gas.
I'm sure that he could ask for more if the need arises. He says he is a minimalist and feels that he doesn't need a lot of things that many of us feel are necessary.
