I use Quiet Hitch and it is extremely effective in eliminating the play between hitch and tow bar. But since we switched our tow vehicle to a tall Jeep Liberty, we use two Quiet Hitch's because we use a hitch riser to level the tow bar. A level tow bar eliminates bucking action.
FYI: If you buy a riser, you'll need longer safety cables.

During trips I unhook my tow vehicle, leaving the tow bar attached to the motor home. I install the Quiet Hitch's at home and they stay assembled throughout our trip. Once back home, I take it all apart. My point here is that they are NOT a pain to deal with.
