Want to add air horns

I was searching online for air horns to add to my coach, but they all look to include a small compressor.

Since I have air in the coach I thought I could tap off the existing system.

I guess it may be to hard to roof mount them to the roof so I was thinking next to genny pointing down.

Any suggestions?
  • My used '11 Bounder came with Hadley Air Horns. I love 'em. If people toot me because they're pissed I just give them a 5 second burst to shut them up! Love the RV because I'm just bigger then most vehicles.
  • Lipets.....If you want to do a nice job, you could order the Hadley air horns, hose and switch/valve and make them look like a stock Monaco install.

Mount the horns on the roof and fish the air line hoses down through the front cap, "A" pillar and out to the generator bay wher eyou can pickup air.
  • Yep, most of the kits include a compressor.

I just did a quick search on ebay, and found the 1/4 inch electric solenoid and a single trumpet air horn. With those two items, you'd only need a switch, some tubing, and wiring. You can also get a used air horn from a big truck junk yard, and may be able to get the solinoid there also.

On my Endeavor, the air horn is beside the generator on the passenger side, with the trumpet pointed down toward the road.

just use your browser search engine... the above was only a sample of a page full of sources..
  • Try Hadley-products.com that's where I got our horns.. We got the Bully Horns and put under the front and pointed them straight ahead just under the cap so there even with the front edge.. You may not want to put them pointing down, they won't project sound away from the coach?? Mike Mathews..
  • I mounted 26" and a 29" rectangular bell Hadley horns behind the front bumper on the Volvo, projecting through the fog light cut-outs.
