From Rollnhome: The "may" only means they can or can not hold part or all of the deposit for damages the seller may have incurred. Doesn't mean the document he signed is not a contract. I'm beginning to believed he signed a purchase agreement. Need to know title in large print at top of first page.
Top of page just has Dealership name and Quote # 14693. That’s it no other verbage stating what the document is on top or anywhere else.
Left side is our name, address, etc. Vehicle make and model.
Right side list cash price, title and reg, down payment, final price. Then ends with “Nothing Else Promised”
Bottom of page is our signatures and dealer signature (no dates behind any of our signatures or on the “contract” anywhere.)
That’s it no other verbage on the front. No contract talk. Only the items I listed that were on the back of the page listed as Additional terms and Conditions
Our original salesman had said something about we could back out any time including our walk through until and we would sign the real contracts when we picked up the rig on Saturday.
I would post the document and list the Dealership but I don’t want to do that yet because I am not sure what the attorney will say.
FYI since my wife has not been laid off "yet" we cannot go to the bank and say her income is no longer valid. But as stated we have not signed anything other than the document I described and the document that allows them to run a credit check-find financing.
