If you never give them the money, or sign anything for a loan, you'll never get the RV. Tell them you've changed your mind, be honest, but firm and let them know in a polite way, you'll never give them money. They'll back out before they invest any more time with you.
We attempted to purchase a new TT a couple years ago. We were willing to take a big hit on our (then) current camper. Everything was said and done. We even signed a purchase agreement. Then the next day, the loan company said the price the dealer was charging for the camper (with our roll over from our "then" current camper) was just too much for the actual camper. Guess what? THEY called us and said, "deal over!" We got our deposit back, no question asked. They just handed us the check back. It was never cashed.
