It was to us. The engine noise of the two gas model I had, particularly the last one with Ford engine were too noisy for my wife's ears and the negotiation over the dog house was a problem for her. The engine in the rear is easy on the ears and solved her problem. Bonus is smoother ride. Negative is the additional cost, but at this time in our lives a few bucks here and there makes no difference compared to the added comfort.
