Maintenance on my 36' 3-slide Gas unit probably costs ONE HALF that of a comperable DP. I don't know how someone could say a "gas unit's maintenance is more expensive than a DP", unless they don't own a Class A motorhome.
Also, keep in mind that Diesel fuel is much more expensive than Gas, and has been like that for over 5 years. This offsets the small mileage gain on a DP.
Having said that, our 14th unit will be a DP. :C
