Read the fine print on the warranty. They may have covered their bases in the wording. On the other hand, you did buy a product that you assumed was in good working order, you planned trips, lost time and money-you should ask, demand, some kind of compensation! Ask them to tack on the lost time to the warranty period. The worst they can say is 'no'!
