Engine-wise, I remember that the carburetor on our '72 B300 Dodge required frequent cleaning/replacement and the automatic choke setup had a thermostat spring inside the exhaust manifold that needed cleaning out to work.The coil became intermittent and engine would die suddenly leaving no power steering. There is a fix for the resistor issue. I have intermittant issues with no spark, bad resistor, etc. I ended up doing a mod and replaced the mopar ignition module with a GM. It has completely resolved those issues and I no longer have to carry spare resistors. Best mod I've done. I now get a full spark all the time.
