Many RV's have vent less units. The unit uses cold water to condense the hot humid air inside the drum during the dry cycle. That condensation is then pumped out the waste line, no moisture is released into the RV. If it is in an RV, best to have FHU's.
The real problem with them is the fact you wash, then dry, before you can wash a second load. Makes for a long wash day. Most RV'ers with them do small loads daily. Or, they do just what is needed, then take everything else to a laundry place and run multiple loads. Vented or vent less doesn't change much if you have an all in one unit an drying on 110v.
Can you in fact set the whole cycle, though, so that if you're gone all day long, they'll be dry when you return, rather than just sitting there and waiting to go into the dryer?
Yes, you can. However, IMO, you do not want to do this, ever. These machines do a very high speed spin to get as much water out as possible. This tends to make some things stick to the drum and it really twists and bundles other pieces of clothing. If you set it to go into the dry cycle upon completion of the wash you are going to end up with some very wrinkled stuff and other stuff that is hard dry-packed material unfit for human use.
