When I worked for an Ultra Sound mfg company we'd use a 1 x 1 plastic stick-um tab with a raised eyelet on one side for zip ties to be attached. Maybe a string with a modified paper clip attached ..... kind of simple but creative. Stick one tab on the door and the other on a close by cabinet/drawer?
