I read the Kitsap Sun article days ago to say J-Rooster mis-quoted it is an understatement.
It was exactly along the lines of the KOMO report.
It's a recommendation from a study on how to fund the State Parks
Even if the Gov endorses the plan, it would have to pass in the next session of the Legislature.
While I agree the State Parks have been underfunded for years, targeting a single category of users (RVs) to provide that funding sounds like a non-starter to me.
Like the "plan" a few years ago to close a bunch of Parks. Until a careful reading of the leases revealed that many on the list would have reverted to the owners. The leases state that the State must keep those parks open, and accessible to the public, or they revert to the property owner, with all improvements.
