  • Just make sure all the water is out of the filter canister when you winterize, I put AF in my MH lines but remove the canister and add AF to it and then put it back.
First year I didn't the canister had water in it and broke.

  • I pull the filter cartridge out and winterize as usual then put new filter in when dewinterizing. Haven't had to do this lately since we are out of the north by Thanksgiving and don't return until mid-April.
  • Sounds like a good time to change your water filter every year after you drain all the anti freeze out of your coaches water system.
  • I drain my water filter then put air through the system. Just put anti-freeze in the drains. CW and others have the adapter for your air compressor. I always open up one faucet before turning the air on to the lines. You don't want to blow your lines apart.;)
  • If you do blow out your lines with air remove the housing and filter. All the water will not be blown out of the filter.
  • hook up the air compressor and blow out the water. Use the antifreeze in the drains only.
  • There should be a short piece of hose that allows you to remove the filter and winterize assuming that it's the short inside filter. If its the whole house canister, remove the cartridge and winterize.
