The system referred to by 427435 is totally different than the one on your Sunstar. The older version uses a cylindrical air filter canister in the vertical position. The newer F53 chassis uses a rectangular filter box at the top of the radiator. I doubt anything from the previous design would fit on your vehicle.
This is the first incident of water ingestion I've heard of on the new style air filter. Have you contacted Ford about this problem?
