water pump question
If I want to use the fresh water tank to have water instead of hooking up to an outside water source, do I need to turn the pump off when it's not in use?

We've been RVing for over 40 years and as a habit, we turn ours off when leaving. Last year, while at Quartzsite, we were watching TV and heard something in the bathroom. I ran back and found a plastic water valve on the back of our toilet had exploded. It blew the back off of the valve, very unusual, but things like this happens.
