We need some Tire advice...

Hey all...

We recently got an '03 Holiday Rambler Traveler...

It's a Ford Chassis, 245/70R19.5

We are looking for some advise regarding a really good tire to use for snow & ice driving...

We snowmobile all winter, & drive up to the mountains & stay for the weekend...

We have chains, & have used them with our last rig...

It get's down in the teens some times...

any and all advise please..!!..

    If you're hauling the snowmobiles on a trailer, don't forget chains for that, too.

    Also called "drag chains", they're required in Washington whenever chains are required on other vehicles.
  • #1 mistake most tire buyers make is believing that big lugged wide open tread designs are best...not so. Usually don't reccomend m&s designated Michelins because they're siped all the way to the under tread, and because of that they are huge torque eaters...but for that same reason that's the best for your needs.
  • We also travel a lot in the Winter and nothing replaces tire chains, especially where ice is involved. As the signs in many mountainous areas state, "chains required". Chains are a pain but they work, which is why they are still around.
