We both have a Bear Extender and they work great for boosting distant WiFi signals.
At Desert Trails in the winter there are 6 or 7 WiFI nodes, with the laptop WiFi I can see one or two of them, with the Bear Extender I can see all of them, plus the nodes next door at Diamond J!
Good performance for a reasonable price.
