Weighed our Class C

Oregon makes it easy to weigh your rig, lots of free weigh stations so we rolled in. It was closed but still gave us a digital readout. Our GVWR is 11,500#, we came in at 10,050 with one third full grey, black, fresh and fuel tanks. The Nexus has a 3,368# payload so we still have another 1,500# available.

Just approach so that the tires on one side won't be on the scale.

So you can stop at any weigh station in Washington and weigh your rig?

Well there are a few that don't work but for the most part they are all functional. On the older ones, you'll have to get out and look at the display inside the little house. I wouldn't try to use one that is open and staffed but maybe they wouldn't care.

Wa. State is the same way. Weight station meters are left on when the station is closed, even if it hasn't been open in many years. Just drive onto the scale and the display lights up.

That's how it is in Oregon, too easy not to do.

  • Hi,

Did you weigh each wheel by itself (i.e. driver's front, driver's rear dual, etc.)

I got a shock which I did that on mine.
