Weldex backup camera
My backup camera keeps going black. Some trips it works ok for several hours and sometimes it cuts in and out after a short time being on. Anyone have a fix besides buying a new one?

- I had my dealer replace the entire cable. It still sometimes goes off. If I power cycle it usually fixes it. I believe it's the signal lead problem.
- My 2002 vintage weldex B&W monitor would do the same thing, on for a while and then unpredictably go dark. I bought a new monitor and replaced it but during that process I think I found the problem. The factory install cradles the monitor in a sheet metal tray and that tray covers all the monitor's vent holes. I think it was over heating. I cut some big vent holes in the tray before installing the new monitor. Works good so far.
