I've welded on many motor home frames without issue. Yes, todays (and many years back) have lots of electronics on board for running just about everything on and in these coaches so, while it may be a pain for you, disconnecting both negative and positives on all the batteries, including house and chassis, will keep from damaging those electronic components. Plus, always try and make sure you put the ground clamp of the welding cable as close to your welding project as you can. Good luck.
