welding plastic resh water tank

DID you do a repair with the tape or a you passing along the info. IF just passing the info thank you. If you did a repair with the tape how did it work for you?

I am on the road and looking for a repair to last so I thank you for your insight on an identical situation. Problem is being an old rig with QWEST fittings I would have to order a tank and wait 7 - 14 days to have it delivered to Camping World (insert bad words here) next door to where I am staying in Nashville. I have checked a couple of online sources as well and they are about the same length of time for delivery. Thankfully my tank is a 5 minute job to remove and reinstall I just do not want to layover a week to wait for it.
I guess I may just remove the tank and try to get it repaired while ordering a new one to meet me down the road somewhere then lay over a day or two to install it.
OH well any other thoughts from readers or additional thoughts from you guys are still welcome as I am still mulling my options
