With a short class C you don't get a rear bedroom with " RV queen size" bed and bedroom. Generally you need a 27 foot or longer rig to get a rear bedroom. Climbing down and up a ladder to go wee-wee in the dark, from the overhead bed, without waking your partner, is painful on the feet and knee joints but great for kids. Sleeping on jackknife sofa or convertible dinette cushions is also ok for kids. Driving and parking a 27 footer is not much more difficult than a 24-footer plus you get more cabinet and cargo storage space. Most Class C's are the same width and height, just the length varies with floorplan. You can't usually park a short rig in a standard car space because of the width. Slides are nice but can have electro-mechanical or leakage problems and many interfere with access to things when retracted. We spend most of the day including evenings outside under the awning so elbow room in our 27 footer has never been a problem even with our two dogs.
