We don't have levelers on ours. Would we like them? Yes. But we bought our unit new and didn't come with them, nor were they offered on them at the dealer we bought from. We've had our Class C for 3 years now. We have 3 sets of Lynx levelers. We've had to use all of them. And to be honest, if we needed more, then the site is just too unlevel and we need to go somewhere else. Other than leveling, they do stabilize the unit more, but even with 3 of us in the unit, it's not really a big deal.
AS far as size goes, it will have to be your personal preference. If full timing or long trips, then the bigger will probably be better. We have considered going smaller (ours is a 31' model).
My recommendation is to find the unit you like, whether levelers or not. If it doesn't have them, then after camping a good bit, then decide if you think it's worth the investment. As always, the more technology you add, the more chance of some sort of failure. So if you get one with levelers, make sure you are able to figure out how to get them retracted if they get stuck. Same as with a slide. Figure out how to get a slide in, if the motor stops or something else happens.
