West travel

Well I'm in marango Iowa now, don't know whether to go up in to s.dakota or through Nebraska which one has best senrery an should I go to wyomming just want to see pretty country

I do the 1500 miles from Georgia to Colorado in two days and the 2000 miles from Glacier back to Georgia in three days as there’s not much in the middle of the country I need to see it again. He has a 3-400 miles advantage from Kentucky.

It would be helpful if you would mention a few things that interest you so people can direct you to similar places that might also interest you rather than those that don't. I was going to mention "the worlds biggest ball of string" and Noah's Arc, but, nahhh . . . . never mind. Sounds like you'll have a good time any way.

Best advice I have is to stay off I-80. The good stuff is not on the interstates.

With only a month I would leave off the west coast and all of CA. I would go to southern CO first and then the N Rim. Depending on the temperature forecast for Zion/Bryce either head that way or back north and higher elevations...cooler weather. You could do RMNP from the west side...Grand Lake and then onto Tetons/Yellowstone. If time then Glacier before home.

As much as I dislike I-40 I would probably take it to Santa Fe and then work my way from there.

We just did 36,80,84 and short distance on 82 to Eastern Washington. Gas/ fuel gets more expensive as you go west. We will stay at son’s ranch for a couple of weeks then meander around to see places we may have by passed on earlier trips. Wanted to do Utah but temps may make us stay up country. You have the right attitude so just go and see. Too many scheduled days just stress you out. RVing should be fun and not stressful. Just go and look at what you see.

Did you know that there is a National Forest in Nebraska?

It may be a little late but try to find a copy of Mountain Directory West.
Also, do a Google search for `_______ tourism' and put the state or city in the blank space and read what the specialists have to recommend.

Yes it will be hot and yes it will be crowded but the things you will see are awesome. And I promise you when you get home you will say we missed something. I have been 3 times from Va. once clockwise once counter clockwise and once through the middle. I would suggest you pick an area say northern route and see that area, Wall drug, Mitchel corn palace, Devils tower, Sturges, Deadwood, Yellowstone well you get the idea. Even with a month you will be pushing it.
