what should i ask the rv sales person when buying my first rv? if i am paying in full for this rv that is new. thanks

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a ripoff but it is extra profit in the dealers pocket.
Work the best deal you can negotiate and then tell them to either get rid of the documentation fee or at least split it with you. Some times you cannot get them to remove the "fee" because doing so could open them up to a discrimination suit as in charging fees on some customers but not others.
When you start narowing down your choice of RVs I would come back on here ask the community for some advice and opinions (beware that you will get very strong opinions sometimes.)
