I just don't like plastic.
Well then you need to go back to the 50's IF you do not like plastic, because even your most expensive coaches have plastic.
Have you ever heard of Kevlar? And carbon fiber? These are synthetic fiber produced by Dupont which is five times stronger then steel.
I was amazed when we first used a coupler sling to pick up a locomotive with a crane using a Kevlar sling.
Which RV, pray tell, is constructed of Kevlar and carbon fiber???
IF You have the money, I am sure they could make you a coach with carbon fiber. If they can make car bodies out of carbon fiber, I am sure they could make a motorhome IF you have the money.
And the same goes for Kevlar. It is used for many things. But these are expensive products and are not used on just anything. Kevlar is light and five times stronger then steel. We used it around the railroad industry for many things. It replaced cable in many cases. Police use it on bullet proof vests.
I have a sports auto that parts are made out of carbon fiber. You can kick the doors in and you can not hurt it.
So to use it on high end coaches, it would be very possible. Keep the weight down and at the same time very strong.
