What are these?

I am looking to pull the carpet out of my 1997 Winnebago Chieftian. I am not sure what these plastic washer and screws are for. There seems to be a small drop off in the carpet about this same place. (almost like there isn't any padding. I just don't want to open a 'can of worms'. thank you in advance.

    They are NOT factory installed. It looks like they cleaned the carpet too many times with HOT water and the carpet stretched and they used the plastic washers and screws to get the carpet taut, especially for the slide room to not bunch it up. Doug

    I hope that's not factory. Looks like somebody took a wrinkle out of their carpet. Stretched it, put screws in with the fender washers then stuffed the excess under the chairs and dog house.
