- FastpaddlerExplorerTrue. I travelled around the entire UK with a Combi Camp 500 trailer, raining every day for 5 weeks(except 3).Only had a Porta potti thing. So wet or dry shower units are adequate for many people. Keeping warm was our biggest problem(in August)...!

I am 6ft 1inch and 185 lbs.Not small guy. I shower always in my wetbath PW. I had a slightly/slightly wider dry shower in my last C Class rig. Not a big difference so after shower etc, I just pull off the plastic side/sink velcroed covers and hang em up to dry. What's so complicated?
I suspect mostly perception and wishing for something not logical in 100 sf of space for the return you get from it. - FastpaddlerExplorerI am 6ft 1inch and 185 lbs.Not small guy. - stan909ExplorerYou are forgetting about vertical space.Think up to the ceiling. That is space that could be a closet or something else, but there's no reason you can't put big tall things in the shower like folding chairs, eazy ups etc...

A wet bath will take up about 6 to 7 square feet of space in a B. A dry bath will take up 15 to 20 square feet of space because the shower stall needs to be nearly as big as a wet bath and the aisle space is enclosed with the bathroom to maneuver. That's why in a B they are usually at the back end extending across the width. Since there is but about 100 effective square feet of space in a B you can see a dry bath takes up an inordinate amount of space.
I'm not getting why a wet bath takes 15-20 square feet. I think a small enclosed shower is about 2ft x 2ft. That is 4 sf. Wouldn't the total would be 4sf (shower) + 7sf (toilet+sink). - wincrasher65ExplorerI can't even imagine trying to park an RV like a Pursuit or a Libero or such in a regular, crowded parking lot. Even if you can wedge it in a parking space, opening the doors might be an issue. Guaranteed that people parking next to you are putting their doors into the side of your RV.
My B-Van is no problem in this regard. I whip it into grocery store parking lots to get supplies without a moments thought or anxiety.
As far as the wet bath goes, you really have to decide what you want in an RV. A dry bath is alot of space dedicated to bathroom duty, at the sacrifice of other things. You have to decide if that tradeoff is worth it to you. I guess I'm not as neat as many of you, because I don't wipe the bath down after each use. I probably go a whole weekend and then spray it with cleaner and wipe it down with a few paper towels. - NeeciesExplorer

You can't give it up can you? The Arriva and Free Spirit SS are not as wide, as tall, and don't look like an ambulance either.
You made me giggle. My husband and I saw a new Pleasureway Lexor, I believe the model name is, a week ago, and instantly dubbed it "the ambulance". - DavyddExplorerLength is an issue but 22'-9" is probably just as much of a concern as 24' when the standard parking stall is mostly 20' long x 9' wide.. The width oh small Cs would bother me more especially in parallel parking situations sticking out on narrow roads and trying to squeeze in between two parked cars in parking lots.
- NCWriterExplorerI think a dry bath would be quite nice, because it is a pain to wipe dry the whole bathroom. But most of the time, we just put on some old croc flip-flops and trot over to the campground showers. No cooties so far.
Some of the nicest ones I've seen have been in state parks around the US, kept very clean by camp hosts. - FastpaddlerExplorerI feel marginalized. I kinda like the Pursuit(dry bath is a bonus for my partner). So, it has a couple of things my PW Plateau lacks but IS a cutaway though and wider so, that is a consideration. It is on my short list as I search for a replacement for my current rig. Ambulance looking--I defer to those who have been in one!!!!22ft 9ins is my target length so call it what you like, thats the max length of vehicle I wanna have friends.Had two C class of 24 and 28 ft--didn't work for us in tight parking lots and places like that. Others may not mind.Size matters...
