You might not believe this, but we don't have any Credit Cards, except Sears, which notified us last week by mail, if we did not use the card it was going to be canceled in about a month.
We use only our bank debit/credit cards and cash. Nothing more. We will never go back to a normal Credit Card. We got ourselves jammed up with Credit Cards some 30 years ago and had to sell our house to pay it all off (mostly because of medical expenses and deductibles). We said we'd never allow ourselves to get into that position again.
We had some money left over from the sale of the house, and we put that into a separate checking account. When we need high ticket items we use it, then pay ourselves back ... RELIGIOUSLY until the "debt" is paid back in full. We add to it regularly to help continue build the balance as inflation continues to cause things to become more and more costly.
I can't imagine how much interest this has saved us over the years!
No, never again... no "True" credit cards to get swallowed up in the bottomless interest abyss ever again!
