Chase has a card that rotates 5 percent on a different category quarterly. When it's on gas stations we use it there. When it's on groceries or pharmacies we buy gift cards for gas at the grocery/pharmacy. ;)
Shell has the FuelRewards program that's worth 5 cents minimum on every fillup. Plus you can tie credit cards to the reward card and get discounts on gas for buying groceries or dining out. It's not unusual for me to have 30 to 50 cents off per gallon. This program is inconvenient for the MH because it discounts only 20 gallons at a time.
Several other cards for particular purposes. One to use in restaurants where the card leaves our sight. One with no foreign exchange fee for when we're out of the US.
