Capital One, Visa. You can use these everywhere. Credit Cards provide more safety protection than Debit Cards as far as getting hacked. I don't need anyone draining my bank account. Pay in full each month and they are "Free"
actually,a debit card when used as a credit card has the same fraud protection as a credit card.
Not true about a debit card that also can be used as a credit card when it comes to deductions out of your account. There is absolutely NO protection like a credit card where you can dispute the charge.
I bought one thing on line in my life and they took my info and later used my information and "auto" debited my account with out my knowledge. I was checking my account and watched while they debited 89.64 every 20 minutes! :E
I called the bank and they said they could NOT do anything because it was an auto debit which means I MUST have given them permission because that is the only way an auto debit is done. :E:E
Took me an hour on the phone with local and national bank managers making them watch the auto debit being taken out over and over again before they finally believed me that I most certainly did NOT authorize that many debits. and they put my money back in my account.
THEN just last month U-Haul double debited my account for a storage unit. Using my debit card as a credit card and authorized for one time per month they hit my account twice in one month. My Bank would NOT do anything about the double debit because it is a debit card. :(
