Wow Doc, that sounds like a terrific idea. I hate having to go out side when it's cold and/or raining to plug in that heater cord. Having a switch inside would be even more perfect (wonder why the mfg didn't do this????). I'll have to investigate this mod and see how difficult it's gonna be.

Well, looked at my unit and just can't seem to find a good way of getting the electrical back up into the living area to locate the switch. Talked to the DW about this to see if she could come up with any method and she looked at me a little strange and then said: "why don't you just put a timer on it, and set it the night before we have to leave"? Sheesh.. don't you just hate it when they prove to you that they are smarter?
Ok, so I guess I'll go buy a timer....
