A long time ago, I was told that the rust colored spots were pollen dropping from bees. They carry it on their hind legs. Don't know it that is true or not, so don't shoot the messenger.
What are you using to apply the RMP? I tried the ZEP Wet Look($28)on the painted rear ramp door of my 20' enclosed and it didn't come out right. Took a half gallon of straight stripper to get it off. I may have put it on too thick with many different applicators.
