I replaced my oil drain plug with a Fumoto Valve. I bought the type with the hose nipple so that I can attach a drain hose for even more convenience. This will make my annual 5 gallon oil change much easier and less messy. I also submit annual oil samples to Blackstone Labs for analysis, so this will make it easier to draw small oil samples as well.
My factory drain plug had a magnet built into the tip to capture any fine metal particles. I wanted to retain that safety measure, so I bought a small magnet at Harbor Freight and affixed it to the bottom of the oil pan. I’m good to go for next year!
