Took it to the Ford dealer and had the oil changed. They did the air filter as well since we had been in a dust storm in New Mexico last month. I asked them to look at the brakes because we had a bit of Brake fade coming down into Bakersfield and they seemed hotter than they should have been. They looked and said the pads were good and showed no signs of overheating. Since that happened we have driven 500 miles, (flat ground) and have not had any brake issues.
Here's the problem... when I dropped off my rig it was in the service department's driveway behind a tour bus. When I came back to pick it up, it was sitting right where I left it! I checked the dip-stick and the oil looks as though it was changed. Could they have changed it where it sat and checked the brakes too? Strange...
