I had a friend slam my RV door pretty hard last trip out.
It would not operate after that (inside or outside).
So Hubby decided he would get the Sawsil Saw and saw that latch out of there
by cutting through the bolts...
Which he accomplished, 3 blades later...
However... In doing so, he also damaged my outer frame and door.
I was able to install a new latch ($130.00 I didn't have time to shop around),
which now barely fits in the hasp (?)...
as that was all bent now. So I also ordered a new one of those..
FYI... the new latches don't come with the inside latch part,
so make sure to keep that as I had to dig mine out of the garbage...
Now it is operating (not smoothly)... but I'm looking at my damaged door (scratches around the latch and trim) and I'm thinking
I would be further a head to buy a new door $$... (sad).
