When my father bought the first smoke detector for our house (many decades ago) he commented that now mother knew when the dinner was ready.
Nice to see someone using the oven for something other than another storage cabinet.
Also here is a hint for your oven: Place a ceramic tile in the oven on the tray that covers the burner. Make sure that the tile does not block the holes that allow the heat to rise into the oven. This will help to even the heat and will reduce the risk of burning the bottom of what ever you are cooking. It is particularly effective when baking cookies and cakes.
