Winterized the plumbing - OATs are headed down into the mid-30's overnight now. I'll be putting the oil-filled radiator and digital thermostat in the bedroom area in the next couple of days, then pulling the rig all the way into its winter space alongside the garage.
I use the radiator to keep the interior at about 38 degrees. We don't get really hard frosts here, and most winter days get up to about 40F, so the power consumed isn't very significant.
We had hoped to make an end-of-season trip into Eastern Washington before we buttoned things up, but a month or so ago, I took a fall in the garage and dislocated the middle finger of my left hand. I can drive short distances, but setting up and breaking camp wouldn't be feasible.
Advice - if your recyclables wheelie bin is full, DO NOT climb into it to stomp the contents down (same goes for yard waste bins). I did that, not realising the back of the bin was a couple of inches away from the wall. When I moved towards the back, it tipped enough to allow the wheels to roll. It threw me out against the wall. Minor concussion from my head hitting the wall and a dislocated finger. Definitely not fun, but everyone who heard the story has had a good laugh about it!
