It turns out it wasn't as bad as I had feared. It got into the first stage of a 2 stage blower - the slower moving auger. The cable was nicked in about 8 places, but only through the insulation in one spot. In that spot, it also got through the insulation on one wire but didn't nick the copper. I taped it up for now but it will have to be replaced.
