My husband and I just traded in our 2012 Jayco Greyhawk class C for a 2005 Tiffin Phaeton class A in preparation for going full time at the end of the year. The Greyhawk just didn't have enough space for us to live in it comfortably.
We already have some plans in mind for changes in the furniture layout. We'd like to remove the dinette booth and replace it with a desk, remove the jacknife sofa and put an entertainment center in it's place, and put either a couple of recliners or a small reclining sofa opposite (that sofa has already been removed).
I don't know whether we need to go to a company that does rv remodeling, or if we can do some of it ourselves. I suspect that we will not be able to remove the sofa without professional help, as it will likely need to go out a window.
Has anyone done this kind of remodeling that can share their experiences?
