Repaired the refer top vent cover today.
Arrived yesterday in Tallahassee, FL yesterday and while filling the MH with diesel I looked up and noticed the top refer vent cover was half off and hanging over the side so I climbed up and removed it - had a mile to go to the RV park.
On further inspection today, there were two problems. When someone had the top off before, they remounted it crooked so that only three of the four screws made contact and they used the wrong screws. They used black sheet rock screws that rust easily. One of the three screws that had made contact had rusted and broke in half so that only left two screws and they were loose from flapping in the wind.
Four new #12 x 3" stainless screws from HD and we were back in business.
