My son came over today to help me get the MH ready to sell. He got up on the roof and replaced a broken A/C cover, then power washed the roof for me. I can't get up on the roof my self. Now when the sun comes back out, I can wash the rest of the coach my self, and we can take it back to the dealer for service, and an apraisal.
Couldn't send him over to me for a while could you?

- ctpresExplorerMowed under it - been setting still to long!
- Canadian_RainbiExplorerTook advantage of a cloudy and rainy afternoon at a Vancouver Island Chapter of FMCA rally in Duncan BC to remove a little extra wire between the solar panels and the controller input.
The "tech" who installed the two additional panels and new controller had not wired directly to the controller but had simple added some more #10 to the wire that went to the original controller then back up the inside of the galley wall to the new controller, ignoring the fact that the original wire ran right past the location of the new one. I now have over 12 feet of #10 wire and calculate that I have reduced the voltage drop to the Blue Sky controller by .489 volts.
The entire job took about 30 minutes.
Why I didn't chase this down at least a year earlier I can't explain. :S
Next step is to see if I can reduce the length and/or increase the gauge between the controller output and the batteries. There is about 8' of #10 going from the controller to the connections that connected the batteries to the former converter. From there I believe (but cannot see clearly) is #6, and I guess at least 15 to 20 feet of that.
For those that are interested in the details, I have 420 watts of solar panel and 484 AH of GC batteries. - Canadian_RainbiExplorer

Learned how to disassemble the coach steps in order to access the stuck motor. Then searched this forum for the correct part and went to the store to buy it. Gotta love saving $100 and increasing the warranty from 1 yr to lifetime.
Thanks forum!
The few times I have been able to save a hundred bucks by doing it my self, I figure I should be able to by my self a really nice bottle of whisky, but somehow DW doesn't see it that way. :B - PSU_RVrExplorerLearned how to disassemble the coach steps in order to access the stuck motor. Thanks forum! - herbnmarExplorerOut of winter storage, just checking and getting ready for our first trip of the year,
- Canadian_RainbiExplorerGot it ready for a weekend away with the Vancouver Islanders. The bed is made and the beer, wine and whisky is packed. I figure we're done but DW says there is still more to do? :h
- ctpresExplorerAdded three cutoff valves, some hose fittings, 1/2" hose, couple of tee's and some #!*@ words that only the birds could hear. Now - one hose connected to wet bay and we can rinse black tank, rinse grey tank and power the Sewer Solutions. Life is good.
