What did you do to your Class A MH today???

Took it in to to have the scratches and chips repaired and painted

Repaired the frame on sleep number bed, cleaned up tv stand in bedroom and repaired porch ilght. getting itchy to move.

Built and installed spare tire carrier. I already had a drop adapter for the hitch to get the tow bar near to the proper height and the extra 2 x 2 receiver has been on my mind for a couple years.

Winnebago provides a spare on this coach but they put it in a compartment that is about head high and on the drivers side of the rig. Gravity gets the tire out, but it takes two strong people to get the tire back into the compartment. So having had a need one time to change a tire, blowout last year and no tools meant a 3 hour delay waiting for road service, I said NEVER AGAIN.

So with a bit of surplus 2" x 2" x 1/4" tube and a bit of welding and my spare is now rear mounted. I have a removable 30" extension to facilitate installing a rope fall to handle the tire. I have a 42" breaker bar and sockets to change the tire.

All that remains now is to order a tire cover.

As a side benefit I now have a really nice compartment for hoses, filters and cables.

Amazing, they should pay you to put that ad for them on your coach! in Yiddish it's chutzpah! Escapee organization gives away all but the smallest decals for free.

Sanatized the fresh water tank. Called Monaco the other day to purchase the round HR decal for the front of the motorhome, mine is faded.They wanted $67 for it, told them forget it! Got some blue model paint and a small brush and painted the decal. It looks great and cost me nothing!

Doc... you're my hero! I spent all morning just washing the rig, much less waxing it. While on the roof, I did notice that the roof looked a little dull and oxidized..I guess I need to wax it also (never have). I will wait until we get to Newport to wax the outside....lot cooler up there.

Waxed the 40' beast. Took 5 hrs using my orbital unit. I wax it every three months - the roof once a year which will be next week.

Took family on a 300 mile jaunt to western VA. Hit the camping world in winchester then drove 40 miles of Skyline drive in our 2000 35N Fleetwood.
