- mustang652ExplorerJust prior to the drop in temperatures this week I Spent 3 days doing the semi annual hand cleaning and putting a coat of wax on the fiberglass roof. Since the temps were in the low 70s, also did a basic body wipedown with the spray detailer.
- dcbrewerExplorerChanged oil and winterized with air. Put pink stuff in pump and traps. Now time to do wax job. Also lubed steps.
- UseroverdriveExplorerReplaced the main burner tube in the atwood water heater. Next up will be the circuit board and probe assembly
- xctravelerExplorerMy list is too long for this board. We are at the Tiffin factory for punch list that has accumulated over 2.5 years. Shower door assembly replaced. Trashed SovaQuest supposed comfort bed for Sleep Number, had a cabinet repair done so slide out counter won't when locked, shifted a fuse from a bad socke to a spare, and that was the small stuff.
Wiped out three awning and some paint on passenger side against rock wall trying to make room for oncoming car that was too close to the line on a narrow road. Will have that fixed next week. Finally Tiffin is replacing the cap rails that run the length of the roof, both sides, with aluminum rails and then they are pulling my large driver side living room slide to replace the rotting plywood floor with aluminum. the last two are warranty recalls! I didn't know for sure I needed them until they came and inspected the coach the day I arrived. Each is scheduled for half a day!
I expect total time in Red Bay will be less than 4 weeks. - KidooExplorerFinalized routing a heat duct to the basement. I installed more foam around the tanks and routed a heat duct to the fresh and waste water tanks. I have a manual flat valve to stop air to the basement. I installed a remote temperature sensor in the bay and if the temp goes down below zero, I will just route the hot air to the basement. Otherwise, the air is routed to a new exit in the kitchen area.
This will supplement the 12 volt cargo heat and the fresh water heat pad if needed to.
Seems to work fine so far. I am ready to go snowmobile in Colorado next year hopefully and stop whenever I want when I go south in middle of winter. - brachrgExplorerWinterized the unit.... Sigh. Looking forward to next season.
- Canadian_RainbiExplorerPulled the faulty xantrex Prosine 2.0 inverter yesterday. Had a peek inside--nothing obviously wrong so in to the Xantrex dealer here today to have it shipped off for service. Hope it is repairable, there is nothing of that rating that will fit in the space.
Here is what it is and isn't doing:
1 Trips shore power ground fault even with all breakers off in the rig.
2 Generator breaker does not trip but the inverter does not pass through the AC to the output--ie only one leg available. Inverter remote panel display shows no AC input or output so no battery charging.
3 Inverter remote display shows battery voltage.
3 Invert function works fine. - turbojimmyExplorerFixed my old Thetford black water valve. The repair kits are great and saved me a lot of hassle - the alternative would have been hacking the valve out. New seals and o-ring and I'm back in business (or can do my business in the RV, whatever).

....Started the fridge so it will cool down So I can stock it Thursday. Leave Friday for Conroe Texas for the Bounder Rally.
good lord mine cools down in 12 hours tops.
Went up to the MH last week to get a beer while out working in the yard and found that it was 80 degrees inside the fridge and not even I drink beer that warm. Went online here and got some tips on how to check what was wrong. Nothing seemed to work except turning it off and then leaving the door open and it cooled off to 60 degrees. Oh wait, that was the same temp as the MH. Took it in to NorthStar RV here in Bremerton last Wed and they looked at it Thursday, found that the cooling unit was bad, contacted Cornerstone warranty and got the replacement ok'd and ordered the parts. Called me late Friday that it was ready and I picked it up after work yesterday. Reloaded it last night with beer and sodas and it's ready to roll. Thank you Northstar and Cornerstone for the fast service. - ctpresExplorerDeveloped a searchable inventory system, added a shelf in kitchen cabinet and found the missing - not working sub woofer (power switch was off.)
