- xctravelerExplorerLeft Lazy Days Tucson with a list of parts on order for delivery and installation at Lazy Days Tampa. Hmm just 3 months ago I left LD Tampa with parts on order for Tucson, this could get old. It is under warranty or I would have gotten it done myself.
- Canadian_RainbiExplorerGot it back from the shop after replacing injector lines:
Friday evening arrived in Ajo Az, a trail of fuel behind us and the Jeep and the rear cap covered with a film of diesel. RV Park owner not happy, but understanding about the diesel on his new asphalt! :E
Saturday AM checked with Kord's automotive at the Napa shop; no mechanics until Monday.
Monday: Can't get us in until Tuesday at 8:00 AM
Tuesday: Into the shop at 8:00 AM. Found the fault: spewing fuel from a cracked injector line ( we decided to replace them all) and ordered parts, put the bed back together. Parts should arrive Thursday, work done Friday. Kord said to stay at the RV Park next door. It's his, and all gravel, easy to clean the fuel spills.
Friday, in at 8:00 out at 4:00, engine, rear radiator and rear cap cleaned as well. Bed also put back together.
No signs of grease or dirt inside the rig. Happy with the job so far. :)
Out of here for Desert Hot Springs tomorrow morning: No charge for the RV Park! - Gadget_ManExplorerApplied tan colored EternaBond Tape today to all of my roof seams. Roof caulking is now a thing of the past! :C

It's not just today. I have had a terrible trip this winter. We started out in Houston and we had two roof leaks. I found some eternabond to fix them. Then my thermostat wouldn't read zone 2 and I found a poor wire connection from the front AC to the back AC. ( I will fix this summer). Then my lite fixtures burned out several bulbs. Today I had to replace the sliding door plastic latch that broke. Had to replace the lisc plate taq light. The front curtain rail clips broke. My generator quit working on the Refer when traveling. My engine door strut bracket pulled out. Had to replace the water pump last week. My new Toad is not gettin enought charge to keep the battery up. This has been a trip from hell for repairs and problems. Maybe I need a new MH but this one is paid for. We will travel back to Denver from Calif next week and hope nothing goes wrong!!!!!
Gee, someone else with our sort of luck. We never complete a Mexico trip without something going wrong.
This year, first the heatpump failed. Fortunately were able to get it fixed as a tech was going back to the USA for stock for his business and brought a new compressor down. But 6 weeks in Zihuatanejo with no AC.
Then on the way home it's a diesel fuel leak. The back of the rig and most of the Jeep were covered in a nice rust preventive film. Figure we leaked 30 or 40 gallons between Pitiquito, Sonora and Ajo Arizona. Now we are waiting for Monday to find a mechanic.
Last year it was a burnt wiring harness that kept shorting and locking the Allison in what ever gear it was in at the time and almost simultaneously an air line blew out.
The year before the serpentine belt broke, we spent 7 hours on the shoulder of a Mexican toll road before we were moving again.
Other that that it's a great life! - SnomasExplorerIt's not just today. I have had a terrible trip this winter. We started out in Houston and we had two roof leaks. - roylExplorerFinished with the fluid changes/checks, finished the Zep wax job. Checked all the brake hoses, flushed the brake fluid. All I need to do now is clean the glass and get ready for the trip from Florida to New Mexico on the first.
- SRTExplorerWe just signed up for our first camping trip the first weekend in May. Yup, the ice should be off the lakes that weekend. Just another 4+" of fluffy snow over night. Supposed to get 6-8" this coming Monday. Have to get the snowblower/tractor going to clean the snow from the MH garage door. Geeze, compared to last year this winter is lasting forever.
- ctpresExplorerReplaced metal/screw screen door plastic panel holders with clips I made from plastic 1/2 inch romex staples. Clips were always falling off and getting lost.
- dcbrewerExplorerRemoved the big heavy TV from front, now got to find the replacement. That thing was a brute to get out by myself.
- MrsMingoExplorerDH installed powered sun visors that he bought at Quartzsite for $20.00 each. They work good! But did we have a time running the wires through the cap!!! Glad that's done!
