What a beautiful couple days we've had!! Between yesterday and today I have done roof and radiator maintenance and began hand waxing the MH. On the roof, I checked seals and caulk and washed and waxed. With the radiator I sprayed Extreme Simple Green Aircraft and Percision Cleaner on both sides of the radiator. This required getting under the MH with a Long necked sprayer and reaching up inside the fan blade housing for application. After 15 minutes of soaking I began rinsing, again using a long neck attachment on the hose to get the inside from underneath. That Extreme Simple Green is great stuff and won't harm the aluminum. I highly recommend it. The dirt just poured off the radiator. But caution A wet suit would have been handy!! Oh well, nice day for a swim. I'm now half way into hand waxing the MH, WOW it looks awesome but I'm exhausted. Hope to be finished waxing by tomorrow. Done for today. Now where's the Ibuprofen??
LOL! That was funny about the Ibuprofen. I do the samething when I crawl under the coach to grease it and do what ever.
Good job seems like you are getting ready to hit the road. - _Sea_Of_No_CareExplorerWhat a beautiful couple days we've had!! - OhhWellExplorerPulled the disgusting pink carpeting out of the toilet room, put down allure flooring and a new toilet.
Just bought an older bounder.....
I'll never understand carpeting around a toilet, especially in a motorhome. - GottahaveitModeratorGot it out of storage yesterday and washed it. Today was pack all the food and clothes and get ready to rock and roll. Harley loaded in trailer. Woooo Hooo !!!
- Canadian_RainbiExplorerStill working on fine tuning the amount of stuff that we stuff into the thing! Got rid of some, added more. :S
Weather is unsettled so we're dodging showers.
Changed the chassis batteries and made up new 2/0 cables for the parallel connections.
Head south in 3 weeks. - mustang652Explorer

Lodge Cast is not very good. better off going to flea markets and looking for Wagner or better yet Griswald. They have incredibly smooth finishes that simply are non-stick without teflon or other chemicals. Aluminum for cooking is simply a bad choice for so many reasons.
I think ya' lost me on that one. Not really adrift from the subject, unless your a purest, or maybe I'm misunderstanding your post. To clarify, it was purchased to supplement the methods of cooking while using the "Class A" RV. In the near 60 years I've been cooking and using cast iron for both home and camp cooking I've never really had a problem with cast iron, Lodge or otherwise, especially cast iron BBQ grills, or even modern style cast aluminum grills as the cooking grids are high quality steel. Most of the cast iron I currently use were handed down from my great grandmother, the others came from the grandmother of a friend, so some are well over a hundred years old, they are well seasoned and I am well versed in their care.

Bought and am now waiting for delivery of a Lodge portable cast iron charcoal grill. Been putting it off for quite a while trying to find something in cast aluminum like were commonly available years ago.

Should wrap it up tomorrow with a good interior cleaning.
- xctravelerExplorerTook it out of storage and drove it 500 miles. Washed off the bugs from the front and windshield. Back into storage on Oct 1 as we leave for 3 months overseas travel.
