- Lincoln4ExplorerToday, I fixed a piece of trim which had been broken off. I installed and extend-a-stay in preparation for our yearly deer hunting trip. A couple of weeks ago, I replaced five stock lamps with LEDs.
- charlesExplorerOn my fourth day of waxing. First two on the roof, then the front, back, and now starting one side. I'm only good for 2 hours a day, glad it's going to rain tomorrow.
Nick - SpurHntrExplorerwell yesterday...
reset (with magnet) a tripped R-010 Norcold thermal switch so my fridge works again
found 2 "loose" 5 amp fuses on my 12V relay and replaced them
uninstalled/cleaned contacts/reinstalled my Intellitec 12V house battery switch - Jim_NormanExplorerWell earlier this year I removed the spare tire from the compartment that Itasca places up on the driver side. At that time I planned to purchase some storage tubs to store the water hoses, TV cables, water filter, hose fittings, and other similar items.
So it is now done. All the 'clean wet' stuff is now in open top bins easily accessible when setting up.
Second item was to get the Blue Ox Tow Bar rebuilt out at Hershey RV Show - toomoxyExplorertwo new front tires installed and front wheel alignment tomorrow...
- dennis_and_terrExploreri greased the F53 (all 13 zirks)and changed the oil/filter. meant to do this in spring but my quad bypass got in the way. felt great to be able to actually do something. we'll be taking the first trip of the 2012 season in 3 weeks. all 50 miles and 3 days of it. i consider myself very very lucky.
- daverichExplorerRemoved the ugly frame around the mirror in our bathroom and put a new oak frame up in place of it.
Got a price for replacement patio awning material and gave go ahead to order it. - SRTExplorerGot back from camping with our HRRVC chapter. Washed the bugs and dust off, backed into it's garage and dumped the tanks. Ready for the next camping trip.
- toomoxyExplorerdid my 3rd or 4th camping trip...
horrible rain storm Saturday morning... left at 0400 to get to the
AKC NY show... RV handling so amazing, I'm so pleased...
well half way there the wiper motor DRIVERS SIDE
stops working with a winding down sound... EEEEEK...
and stops dead center of my eyes... I found a safe place to stop to move the blade to the center.. and
I drove the rest of the way there following the white center line
praying I would be OK...
Thank goodness for my GPS and my GPS having VOICE as no way would
I navigate my way without that indicator...
I did call 3 RV places but none have techs working on the weekend
as I thought take the wiper motor from passenger side and move
to DRiver's side for my ride back home on Sunday.
Sigh, just hoping this is not going to be an expensive fix.
I then pull into the local walmart 3290 Sheridan Drive
Amherst, NY later that afternoon, only to be told “nicely” by the manager “oh we don’t allow
Overnight RV camping here. You need to go to a truck stop 20 minutes away”.
Wow so much for friendly walmart where I spend a small fortune every month ?
My friend was staying at a local Red roof motel and told them my plight and they
Said I could park in their parking lot overnight not a problem FREE and
I had their wifi, ice machine, grassy area well lit to toilet the dogs…
Good things do happen... LOL - bigred1cavExplorer
