Over the past two weeks stripped all the faded vinyl graphics and advertising from the van and buffed her out.
What color and year is your RV and did removing the graphics leave any shadows where the previous graphics were located.
Hello Loving Retirement,
I'm jealous! We have a white 2006 Leisure Travel Free Spirit. It has been in the Florida sun, so the vinyl and paint were oxidized.
The decals did leave shadows, but even then, it was in improvement. In fact, the paint that was under the decals was like new! So, we bought a Turtle Wax buffer and polishing compound (under $30 for both at WalMart). I went very easy, but the buffing did much to remove shadows and restore shine. I had never buffed a vehicle before so I did the minimum and will probably do it again. Right now, you have to be looking for the shadows to see them.
I used an auto body eraser wheel to remove most of the graphics. It did a great job and was a real time-saver.
