Installed a direct fused at the converter 8ga, 12v battery line to our kitchen counter area with a 20amp circuit breakered 12v outlet to plug our inverter in so the wife could use her small crock pot while going down the road to fix some eats.
Now we're ready for our big fall trip in 2 weeks!
Bob, that is exactly where I have thought about putting a 12volt power point. I'll be looking at yours in a few weeks!
I learned this trick at our BEE Socials but all I had to do was plug into the duplex outlet above our kitchen counter that was already wired to a 700W inverter for use while on battery power to run a 110v crockpot or the intended 110V TV. Put the crockpot in the sink. Also it should be braced so it doesn't slide around. This photo was cleaned up without the bracing.
We always wrap a towel or 2 around the crock to keep it from moving around.
Also, going to have to invest in a little bigger capacity inverter because the 400w one we have is right on the verge of kicking out when the crock is on low. It's getting noisy too.....
