I finally finished the work on replacing the kitchen faucet and repairing the damaged counter top.
Last season water had leaked under the sink and got into the press-board counter top, causing it to swell. The DW decided that she would like a new faucet, the old single control was too difficult to control the water temperature. I removed the sink last fall and clamped the bulge in the counter top making it flat. It sat all winter with the clamp on it.
This spring I removed the clamp, sealed the press-board with varnish, installed a new dual control faucet and reinstalled the sink using sealer to keep water from seeping under the sink.
The old bulge is barely noticeable and the new faucet looks fine. Can't wait to summerize the MH to see if there are any leaks.
